The Southern Pacific 1233 is a 1918 Baldwin 0-6-0 that was retired in 1956. It underwent restoration that was completed in 1989 and in 1995 was moved to the Yolo Shortline yard in Woodland, California. On June 26, 1999 the 1233 was used for the Yolo Shortline Photographers Special that was one of the events of the 1999 NRHS and R&LHS National Convention. This shot was taken south of Sacramento on track that ran between West Sacramento and Clarksburg. I recently read that this track is being abandoned.
