Frisco 1522 Crossing the Meramec River

Frisco 1522 Crossing the Meramec River

On April 28th and 29th 2001 the St. Louis Steam Train Association had their 4-8-2 Frisco 1522 fired up and on the road again to prove its roadworthiness before taking on the BNSF Employee Appreciation Specials and then National Railway Historical Society excursions throughout May and June. This photo was taken on April 29, 2001 at the rear of the Missouri Route 66 State Park with the 1522 headed west on the bridge where the BNSF Cuba Subdivision crosses the Meramec River.
